An Analysis of the Stability of Hinterland Container Transport Cooperation

We study cooperation among hinterland container transport operators that may share capacity and demand in corridors between inland sea ports. model this transportation problem as a minimum cost flow assume the total based on bargaining outcome, which has been proven equivalent to Shapley value. To examine stability of such cooperation, we perform sensitivity analysis membership value (the outcome) core set stable outcomes) by leveraging novel concept parametric cooperative games. obtain closed-form solutions for identical players explicitly characterize impact overcapacity cooperation. For more general cases, develop computational approach optimization techniques. The numerical results indicate our primary analytical result, is, undermines stability, is generally valid, overcapacitated networks permit only limited range settings.
